RICE WINE
Rice
wine is a sweet wine made from fermenting steamed glutinous rice, which
is quite low in alcohol content. The better-known rice wines
—
sake and mirin — come from Japan, but there are many Chinese
varieties, too.
Breast-feeding mothers should avoid drinking wine, as alcohol will adversely affect the growth and development of the babies’ brains. Preferably you can replace plain drinking water with red dates tea.
